Apply to the International Masters WHCPD and CPP

There is only one week left to apply for the international Masters in World Heritage and Cultural Projects for Development and in Cultural Property Protection in Crisis Response.

Applications for both Masters close on 31st October 2023 at 15 CET.

WORLD HERITAGE AND CULTURAL PROJECTS FOR DEVELOPMENT

The Master in World Heritage and Cultural Projects for Development is a one-year program that focuses on the essential knowledge and competencies needed to design projects in the cultural field with particular attention to sustainable development issues and new models of conservation and integrated management. Central to the program is the application of culture-related UNESCO Conventions (World Heritage, Intangible Heritage, Diversity of Cultural Expressions) and programmes (Creative Cities, Man and Biosphere, Global Geoparks, Memories of the World) in order to investigate the economic, social, institutional and legal challenges for their implementation at the local level. Master participants are expected to acquire skills related to cultural planning and its impact on local development processes.

CULTURAL PROPERTY PROTECTION IN CRISIS RESPONSE

The Master in Cultural Property Protection in Crisis Response is aimed at strengthening the international efforts and enhancing cooperation to face emerging challenges towards the protection of cultural heritage from conflicts, illicit activities, natural disasters and climate change impact, and for enhancing the social and economic recovery capacity of the affected communities. It is designed for a mixed target of civilians, military personnel, NGOs, peacekeepers, and in general all the operators intervening in armed conflits or disasters scenarios,  as well as those ones operating in the post-conflict or post-disaster recovery process.

Both Masters are part of the activities of the UNESCO Chair on Economics of Culture and Heritage: Strategies for Protection and Development at the University of Torino.
