The Study Centre Silvia Santagata takes part in the training activities and labs of the international project “Urban Landscape Bridging Cultures”. This is a bilateral project between China and Italy, promoted and organized by CNR-IVCBC and by the University of Rome Tor Vergata. CSS-Ebla contributes to it by coordinating the session called “Integrated and participatory management”, which focuses on the promotion and the economic aspects of Cultural Heritage, from the understanding of its contest to the opportunities of its development, using, as examples, models of management that are able to support the territory’s productivity, the building of networks and the using of new innovative tools like digital technologies. The project, that takes place in Palestrina and Castel S. Pietro Romano, from August 27th to September 4th, 2016, is in the frame of the existing collaboration with WHITRAP (World Heritage Institute on Training and Research for Asia and Pacific) and in particular it refers to the work group for the application of the UNESCO Recommendation on Historic Urban Landscape on the Italian and European territories, with a special focus on small and medium towns.
