Fondazione Santagata – on behalf of the Centro Conservazione e Restauro “La Venaria Reale”, conducts a study aimed at defining strategic development guidelines for the Centre’s activities for the period 2018–2022.

Context

The Centro Conservazione e Restauro, located in the former 18th-century Stables and Riding School of the monumental complex of the Venaria Reale, was established in 2005 as an institute for advanced training and research in the field of cultural heritage restoration and conservation. Its founding members include the Ministry of Culture, the Piedmont Region, the Metropolitan City of Turin, the City of Turin, the City of Venaria Reale, the University of Turin, the Compagnia di San Paolo, and the Fondazione CRT.
In early 2018, the Centre initiated a renewal of its planning activities, centered around the creation of a Strategic Plan as a key guiding document.

Partner

The Plan is drafted by researchers from Fondazione Santagata, working for the Centro Conservazione e Restauro “La Venaria Reale”. Associated institutions and key stakeholders at both local and international levels have been involved in the preparation phase of the Plan.

Impact

The study aims to assess the Centre’s competencies, resources, and potential in order to initiate actions that will enhance its positioning at both the national and international levels—within a context that is increasingly complex in relation to cultural heritage and its conservation.
