Css-Ebla takes part in the meeting Italy – China “Historic Urban Landscape: small historic towns between preservation and development”, held on September 30th, 2015 at Ara Pacis Museum of Rome.
Unesco with the Historic Urban Landscape identifies in the management of changing the only way to preserve the heritage. The bilateral project between Italy and China is based on this point, and it’s promoted by CNR-ICVBC (Institute for Promotion and Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of National Researches Council), WHITRAP UNESCO (cooperating with CSS-Ebla), in the field of the exchange experiences about the preservation of the Cultural Heritage and in the application of UNESCO Recommendation based on cases studied both by Italians and Chinese.
This meeting, organized with Lazio region’s activites for EXPO 2015, represents a chance for contestants of this project to meet and also to discuss with experts both Italians and Chineses about the future of small towns in Italy and around the world with the goal of choosing and promoting new strategies of sustainable development, that have the same economic and tourist interests and that correspond with those of the Cultural Heritage that have been built and also with the landscape and the local identities.
