CSS-Ebla in cooperation with the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe (UNESCO Venice Office), the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC), ILO – International Training Centre (ITC-ILO) and also with the patronage of Città di Torino (Italy), Geneve and Lausanne (Switzerland) organizes the first World Edition of

“International Academy on Sustainable Development”.
Capacity Building Workshop on the Management of UNESCO designated sites: World Heritage Sites and Biosphere Reserves

The whole event takes place in Turin but also in the Piedmont UNESCO sites and at EXPO in Milan from 15th to 21st of October, 2015. The training program is addressed to UNESCO sites supervisors with the goal of promoting, enhancing and spreading the best methods for sustainability.
More than 30 delegates from more than 20 countries all over the world and 4 different countries, attend this event in Turin to compare and to study cooperation projects in order to make sustainable development actions on their own territories. This workshop was strongly supported by UNESCO, and it is the first time such an event like this one has been organized in the world. The international delegates also create the first International Community of good management practices of UNESCO territories, aiming to develop cooperation initiatives, where once again Turin and Piedmont region have a key role on the international scene on the topic of culture as driving force for the local development. The Community is already enjoyed by other UNESCO sites and territories, in addition to the ones that are already part of the Academy; among them, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Egypt, Germany, Guatemala, Ecuador, France, India, England, Iran, Mauritius, Montenegro, Namibia, Pakistan, Perù, Spain, Seychelles, Turkey.
