Context

Over the years, “I Luoghi del Cuore” has established itself as an effective tool for raising awareness among citizens and institutions about the protection of the landscape.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the program “I Luoghi del Cuore,” the FAI Foundation (The National Trust of Italy) – with the scientific collaboration of the Santagata Foundation – aims to conduct a study to highlight the program’s results, evaluating its generated value through an economic impact assessment.

Objectives

The impact assessment aims to estimate the program’s repercussions on the local economic systems, identifying outcomes in the cultural, social, economic, and environmental spheres.

Work Phases

The economic impact study outlined in this document will be divided into phases:

  • First Phase: Analysis of informative sources;
  • Second Phase: Collection of data and information;
  • Third Phase: Gathering of qualitative information through interview methodology;
  • Fourth Phase: Development of the impact study.

Expected Results

The study aims to:

  • Provide a comprehensive overview of the FAI’s role and accountability within society, not only from a cultural and social perspective;
  • Offer support for strategic investment decisions regarding the program’s future developments;
  • Serve as an internal monitoring tool, also beneficial for social accounting purposes.
