On Sunday, October 9th, the third edition of Families at the Museum National Day takes place. This event is designed to help the relationship between families and culture and it’s an opportunity to show how a museum can be a welcoming place and how children and their families can be good consumers of culture. Research Centre Silvia Santagata is drafting an important study on cultural fruition among young people and kids in Italy, and the Families at the Museum National Day is remarkably important to collect information on this topic, which is still not that developed, but it’s also crucial to understand its nature and dynamics. Research Centre Silvia Santagata has worked as a scientific partner with FAMU for three years with the preparation of questionnaire for families and museums that take part in this event. The results of this survey were collected in 2015 and they have been available on the web from October 2016.
