Within the framework of the adaptation of the Management Plan of the UNESCO Site “Ivrea Industrial City of the 20th Century”, Fondazione Santagata started a community development process in order to verify the management results and identify the development goals of the Site in relation to the UN 2030 Agenda and the Culture|2030 Indicators.
The community development activity, conducted with the support of the Municipality of Ivrea, is divided into three phases:
- Stakeholder mapping: identification of key actors for the management and enhancement of the Site.
- Planning and implementation of dissemination and awareness-raising activities on the contents and objectives of the Management Plan, including the 2022/2023 edition of the Academy on UNESCO Designations and Sustainable Development (to be held from 21 to 24 March 2023).
- Three workshops will be held to support and complement the process of analysis and adaptation of the Management Plan, addressed to the subjects that are part of the management structure, to the main stakeholders of the Site and to students from schools in the area.
To emphasise the centrality of this community development process, the results obtained in the dissemination activities and in the three workshops are a tool used for the drafting of the analysis and adaptation of the Site Management Plan.
