CSS-Ebla staff work on the evaluation of  Venn’s Town for its potential candidacy on the list of UNESCO World Heritage, especially providing scientific and technical assistance to the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Seychelles, for the preparation of the nomination dossier and the management plan.
The site is located in the Mahé island, in the protected area called Le Morne Seychellois National Park, which is signed up since 2013 in the national tentative list. Created in 1876, it represents one of the most important and significant historical and cultural records of the Seychelles and it also documents the slave liberation process.
The nomination on the World Heritage List is developed in the national frame and policy to promote cultural and heritage tourism. Seychelles already got the recognition of the Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve as World Heritage.
