Fondazione Santagata, on behalf of the Direzione Regionale Musei Piemonte (DRM), is responsible for drafting a Business Plan aimed at ensuring the sustainability and financing of interventions to enhance visitor services and to support fundraising activities for the Castello di Agliè.

The activity is part of the project “Musei Verdi: i giardini delle Residenze Reali, laboratori di sostenibilità per le comunità”, funded under Law No. 77 of 2006. The project focuses on historic gardens, understood as a vehicle for community involvement and engagement, a driver of socio-economic revitalization for the surrounding territory, and a privileged space/laboratory for experimentation and innovation in sustainable development.

Context

The Residenze Reali Sabaude, once the stage for court life and a testimony to the power of the House of Savoy, are places of leisure characterized by majestic parks and gardens. They form a system recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1997.

Objectives

The work aims to:

  • identify interventions and improvement areas related to services for the enjoyment of the gardens and spaces of the Castle;
  • identify actions that ensure the economic and financial sustainability of the defined interventions;
  • outline a fundraising strategy.

Expected Results / Impact

The initiative aims to provide the Castello di Agliè with a financing and monitoring model designed to ensure the economic sustainability and managerial effectiveness of the planned development interventions.
