Fondazione Santagata in collaboration with RO.ME Museum Exhibition, the professional and international platform for institutions and companies operating in museums, cultural venues and art, launched the third edition the “Fondazione Santagata” AWARD, under the patronage of UNESCO’s Italian National Commission.

The aim of the award is to provide visibility and recognition to a sustainable development project, in line with the Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, carried out internationally within a territory or community with a UNESCO designation: World Heritage, Intangible Cultural Heritage, Creative Cities, Biosphere Reserves, Geoparks.

The winner of the 2023 Fondazione Santagata National Award is the Municipality of Bologna with the “Night Plan” project, aiming to be an innovative policy addressing the management of the city’s nightlife, taking into consideration its various aspects – cultural, social, economic, livability, and safety – with the goal of striking a balance between the interests and rights of all. The award will be accepted by Giorgia Boldrini, Director of the Culture and Creativity Division.

The winner of the Fondazione Santagata International Award is Komet Culture and Art Projects Ltd, which presented their “Museum Kit Project!” where students, families, and teachers visiting museums and national heritage sites receive a kit containing rich visual and textual materials providing information about the historical context and collections of the museums where they are distributed, along with various activities that can be enjoyed before, during, or after museum visits.
