Europe and Creativity: European Congress of Local Governments

In these days we are in Krakow to take part in, as co-organizing partner, the debate panel on “Creative Regions: Challenges and Opportunities”, that is included in the program of the European Congress of Local Governments (Krakow, March,27-28).
Cultural and Creative Industries play an important role in the economic development of cities and regions. One of the big challenge is the cross-cutting approach to creativity to boost competitiveness and innovation and to develop cross-sectoral collaborations.
The session, chaired by Gabriela Dragan, Institutul European din România – European Institute of Romania, see the participation of Emil Boc, former Prime Minister of Romania; Wojciech Przybylski, Cracow Technology Park (Poland); Bernd Fesel, European Creative Business Network (Germany); Alina Bârgăoanu, School of Administrative & Political Studies (Romania); Oleg Vostrykh, Foundation “High School of Professional Politics” (Ukraine); Oksana Prishchepova, KROO “World of Woman” (Russia); Przemyslaw Jablonski, Canon Business Services & Solutions (Poland). Martha Friel (CSS-Ebla) opens the panel presenting our contribution and research work in relation to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
