The first edition of the training programme CHANGE Decarbonising Culture has successfully concluded

July 19, 2024 – The first edition of CHANGE, the training course developed by Fondazione Santagata in collaboration with Legambiente Piemonte and Valle d’Aosta, and supported by the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, has successfully concluded. This initiative aimed to concretely address sustainability issues within the cultural and creative industries (CCIs).

On the final day of the program, participants presented their decarbonization roadmaps, developed either for their own organization or for the institution where they completed their job shadowing experience. This was an opportunity to reflect on the challenges faced and the future steps needed to advance this crucial work.

CHANGE has enabled participants to develop a greater awareness of the urgency of a just transition within the cultural sector:
– The online talks provided innovative tools and methodologies, promoting the exchange of best practices and successful case studies;
– The job shadowing activities and project work allowed participants to apply theoretical knowledge, demonstrating the importance of a proactive and conscious approach to promoting decarbonization within the cultural and creative sector.

CHANGE addressed both the environmental impact of cultural organisations and the key role they can play in promoting a paradigm shift towards a just ecological transition.
