The European project REEPLAI approaches its final milestone
2 October 2025 – The European project REEPLAI – REaders of Europe Play, Learn and Interact, co-funded by Creative Europe and coordinated by Fondazione Sapegno together with Fondazione Santagata, UAC Lviv, Lviv Municipal Library and the Municipality of Óbidos, is approaching its final milestone.
Launched to address the growing reading gap and the loss of cultural diversity, the project has worked to strengthen reading habits, empower local communities and foster new cultural interconnections, placing literature at the heart of dialogue between countries and generations.
Over the past three years, REEPLAI has promoted reading as an experience of growth, dialogue and participation. Its outcomes include the creation of two new Reading Parks in Lviv and Óbidos (inspired by the Morgex model), along with a wide range of educational and cultural activities that have engaged children, families and sector professionals.
The journey will symbolically conclude on 14 October in Brussels with the final Forum, a closing dialogue on the future of reading in Europe and the legacy of REEPLAI.
