FONDAZIONE SANTAGATA’S CONTRIBUTION
On the occasion of the WTE, Fondazione Santagata coordinates three strategically significant panels, bringing together estreemed experts to discuss key issues related to tourism and cultural heritage.

The technical meeting – organized in collaboration with the Association of Italian World Heritage Sites – features the participation of cultural sector experts and key stakeholders in the tourism supply chain. The debate aims to foster reflections on the opportunities and issues related to touristic flows in World Heritage sites, promoting a constructive dialogue among the various actors involved.

Fondazione Santagata was commissioned by the Municipality of Lipari to develope a strategic plan to promote responsible tourism models in the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Aeolian Islands. The panel aims to present the work conducted and stimulate a debate on the crucial issue of balancing tourism promotion with the natural conservation of territories.

This session presents the findings of the “Climate-Sensitive Tourism” research, promoted by the National Agency for Tourism (ENIT) and conducted by Fondazione Santagata in collaboration with Giaccardi & Associati. The panel aims to provide insights for rethinking tourism activities in response to the ongoing climate crisis.
