29 October 2025 – Today, as part of the Ottobre Alessandrino Festival, the event “Whose Cultural Heritage Is It?” takes place — a discussion dedicated to art theft, museums, and collective memory, inspired by the screening of the documentary Threads of Heritage.

The docufilm offers a unique perspective on the illicit trafficking of cultural property, tracing its journey from illegal excavations to international art markets, and highlighting the use of satellite technologies and artificial intelligence in heritage protection.

Following the screening, a talk featuring Brian Parodi, Lisa Accurti, Silvio Mele, and Roberto Livraghi, moderated by Alessio Re, will explore key challenges, responsibilities, and new tools for safeguarding and enhancing cultural heritage.
