July 3rd, 2024 – Fondazione Santagata at the technical seminar “Tourism: Prioritising Climate Adaptation” organised by ENIT  and ASviS – Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development, presentin the initial findings of the ENIT research “Climate-Sensitive Tourism“.

During the strategic meeting, the speakers fostered debate on the necessary strategic rethinking of tourism in relation to climate change. Our president, Paola Borrione, presented significant data on the impact of climate change on UNESCO sites, cities of art, museums, and cultural events, promoting a crucial dialogue on adaptation and resilience strategies within the sector. In this context, the publication of the eBook “Tourism becomes climate-sensitive” was announced. The eBook – curated by the Fondazione Santagata and Studio Giaccardi & Associati, in collaboration with Martha Friel (IULM University) and Rodolfo Baggio (Bocconi University) – presents the findings of the ENIT research project in a more accessible format.
