Cultural actors and natural resources managers play a significant role in the sustainable development of territories, in particular towards an efficient management of productive chains based on territorial resources (like environment, supply chains, agricultural chains, tourism services) and on the local know-how, including the capacity to identify functional networks among the different economic sectors and in relation to the emerging markets.

Fondazione Santagata develops research, training and consulting projects about the topics related to sustainable development (green economy, sharing economy, circular economy, territorial resilience) and UN’s 2030 Agenda, focusing on UNESCO’s programs and on the relationship between cultural/natural heritage and sustainability, with particular interest in the local development in rural contexts and youth involvement.
