Fondazione Santagata is committed to promoting peace, development, and resilience in countries and contexts affected by disasters and conflicts, leveraging culture and cultural heritage as powerful resources to support social and economic recovery.

Through concrete projects, we work to strengthen international efforts and enhance cooperation in protecting cultural heritage while promoting the role of culture in supporting communities impacted by conflicts, illicit activities, natural disasters, and climate change.

In collaboration with local and international partners, we design projects focused on post-crisis assessment, capacity building, community empowerment,  disaster risk management, recovery planning, aimed at creating opportunities to build a sustainable future through culture.

From cultural heritage protection programmes, such as the Master in Cultural Property Protection in Crisis Response and the International Course on Post-Crisis Recovery of Cultural Heritage, to initiatives focused on cooperation, dialogue, and community empowerment like the REEPLAI project, the special programme Heritage Beyond Walls and our partnership with the Master in Advanced Public and Cultural Diplomacy for International Relations by ASERI, our efforts aim to strengthen local capacities, encourage knowledge sharing, and support recovery in regions affected by disasters and conflicts.
