Rural Development and Mountain Economies

Fondazione Santagata develops research, training and local development projects on the role and the potential of the culture based economic sectors characterizing rural and mountain areas.
Attention is aimed at an efficient management of productive chains based on territorial resources like environment, supply chains, agricultural chains, tourism services based on the local know-how, and to the capacity to identify functional networks among the different economic sectors and in relation to the emerging markets. This sector also considers the issues related to green economy, sharing economy, circular economy, rural development and territorial resilience.
